Achtung! Cthulhu Give Away

As mentioned in our recent podcast we are running an Achtung! Cthulhu Give Away!  All you need to do is leave a comment below saying how much you’d love to get in on the World War 2 meets Cthulhu action and you will be entered into the drawing for a free PDF copy of Three Kings and Heroes of the Sea from Modiphius Entertainment.  You can choose between the Call of Cthulhu and Savage Worlds version of each adventure.

Matt also requests that you include your favorite color in your entry…not sure why but he probably has a reason.

The contest is open to all legally aged residents of their respective countries.  The winner will be chosen at random from all entries present as of midnight Eastern Standard Time February 27, 2013 and notified within two weeks.  Duplicate entries will be removed.  Some restrictions may apply.

Thanks to Chris and Modiphius Entertainment for sponsoring this Give-Away and be sure to check out their KickStarter for even more Nazis and Old Ones!

Update – A winner has been chosen!

  1. Achtung Cthulhu: Band of Brothers meets Cthulhu meets Hellboy. What’s not to love?

Also, I’ve long wanted to host a Savage Worlds game, but these days I don’t have time to write my own adventures from scratch. Zero Point fits the bill perfectly. I think my players will love the change of pace from our usual sword-and-sorcery games, and I hope they will also love SW after too many years of d20.

My favorite color? Well, black I suppose.

  2. Nazis? Creatures of indescribable evil and horror? What’s not to love? Bring it on!

  3. Thompson submachineguns and eldrich horror! Two great tastes that go great together!

  4. AUCH! MEIN LIEBEN! The potential for a night fuelled by Elder God themed snacks, hilarity and the most horrific and blood-curdling accents known to man? Make this happen. In emerald green.

  5. Klaus Kinski says:

Meine Lieblingsfarbe ist blau. Es ist die Farbe von mein Dämon Herz!

  6. The terror of war with the possibility of the terror of Cthulhu running in tandem? Sound like a great reason to see how long my players keep their sanity. Poor fools will never see it coming.

Favorite color? A tie between yellow and black

  7. Dr. Automaton says:

I’ve been intrigued by Achtung! Cthulhu ever since I saw that big, hulking silhouette on the cover of the first campaign book. I immediately jumped on the bandwagon when I saw Chris’s project listed on Kickstarter.

Oh, and my favorite colour is the kind from out of space. ;)

  8. Thasmodious says:

Nazis meet fish-people. Fish-people, these are Nazis. You know what to do. And do it in midnight blue.

  9. Moss Goblin says:

Achtung! reminds me a lot of Red Skull and HYDRA. And I love it. Cthulu and war, what else could we ask for? My favourite colour is red skull red.

  10. I was running a Day After Ragnorak campaigna and was hoping to to use Achtung! Cthulu to complement it. Alas, that campaign didn’t last long enough for the players to prevent or call the Big C.

And my favorite color is black.

  11. I hope I am not too late. I didn’t even know about this product but the premise made me geekgasm. Yes, I said it. I am not ashamed. :) I would love to get my hands on this.

  12. Cthulhu and WW2? That´s like peanutbutter & jellly… you can´t get enough.

Classic Cthulhu for me and my favorite colour is green.

  13. Jeff Messina says:

    “Blue. No yel–ahhhhhhhhhh”
Actually its green. Good luck on the Kickstarter

  14. Brian Johnston says:

I am extremely down with this.

  15. WWII setting? Check
    Cosmic horror? Check.
    Savage Worlds? Check.

Put them all together and you’ve got something truly awesome.

  16. I just started running Savage Worlds recently and while I am running a homebrew campaign, it would be great to have something to run on weeks where not everyone can make it. This certainly fits the bill.

My favorite color is probably forest green.

  17. Well I just bought savage worlds and will be trying it for the first time ever soon as I can finish reading the book. What I didn’t know was that I was basically going to need a setting book. That said this one looks epic and awesome and I think it would be a great way to start being a savage. A savage that digs purple.

  18. Ross Konopaski says:

I’d be all over this. Mixes both of my favourite settings – unknown horror and world war 2. Honestly? I dunno why I didn’t think of it myself! Grey would be lovely.

  19. This is too awesome for words, what better please for ghouls and cosmic horrors then the body strewn battlefields of WWII.

  20. Fighting nazi-cultist and for once do that in context? Soind awesome.
And just so you know, there is a achtung cthulhu kickstarter goind on so be ure to back them so you could have even more source material to kick some ass

  21. Well my favorite color is the one that’s out of space of course…

Stopping Cthulhu cultists and Nazis at the same time? It’s two birds with one stoning!

  22. I always felt that Weird Ward II lacked Cthulhu, I guess they solved that, and I want in on the action.
    Black.

  23. These are two of my favorite things. I would love to try it. Red.

  24. I’ve been very interested in the Savage World’s version of Achtung Cthulhu ever since I laid eyes (my own eyes, don’t worry) on the Kickstarter campaign. I would love to take part in what is probably a most futile battle against the Great Old Ones and their minions.

Usually my favorite colour is skyblue, but for this I have to say red, as in the kind of red that forewarns misery and dread for all mankind.

  25. I’m very interested in the Savage Worlds version of these books, being a Lovecraft fan and Savage Worlds GM, without having ever actually played any tabletop Cthulhu games.

My favourite colour is normally green, but I wear an awful lot of purple shirts to work… Not really sure what that means!

  26. I just noticed these books and am excited about a chance to win them! They look awesome.

And I guess I’ll go with blue.

  27. I would love these!

    black as Cthulhu’s heart

  28. Jonathan Rose says:

Two evils that taste great together even if they stick to the roof of your mouth. Then you turn blue. Dusky blue as all the air gets sucked from your lungs.

  29. Nathaniel Garth says:

Now I can make my own Weird War Tales, watch out Gravedigger here I come!!!!
