Youtube show, TableTop, starring Wil Wheaton review

The new Youtube channel, Geek & Sundry sports a show called TableTop.  In this show Wil Wheaton invites friends and celebrities to play board games with him on camera.  Needless to say if you’ve ever played board games you can guess that much hilarity ensues as the games progress.

There are the short interview style clips of each player by themselves chiming in on how they are doing so far and what sorts of strategies they are playing as the camera changes between overhead and side angles of the entire table.  It will even skip ahead in a fast forward style with the words “In the interest of time” if there’s ever a dull period in the game (which is rare).

Sometimes they play long games and sometimes they play those quick dice or card games like Zombie Dice.  In one episode they played three of these short games to give you an example of how long an episode might be.

They always play a different game so every episode is fun and new and fresh.  They always seem to have a ton of fun no matter what game they play and it makes you want to go out and buy that game immediately after watching!

Every episode ends with a single winner that gets a great trophy (you have to watch to get a load of this thing) and the losers all get to sit on the losers’ couch of shame and talk about why they lost and maybe make fun of the winner in some way.

Give this show a watch later today when you get a chance and let me know if it makes you want to go out and buy that game immediately like it does for me!  You’ll be glad you did.
